Experience The Magic of The Playmill

Come see why hundreds of families have made The Playmill theatre a beloved summer tradition!

On June 20, 1964 the audience of The Playmill Theatre walked through the doors for the first time.

Though the numbers were few, the Playmill Players performed with the same energy and excitement that they do today! Who would have guessed that first night was the beginning of a family tradition that would still be alive half a century later?

  • Seating

The fun begins as soon as you walk through the doors of The Playmill! You’ll be taken to your seat by a Playmill Player who will answer questions, show you around, and offer you a program.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Parking is available in the city parking lot adjacent to the theatre. West Yellowstone is small enough that many of our patrons park a few blocks away and then walk. We recommend leaving some wiggle room in your day’s plans so you have time to find a spot!

  • Tickets are available the day of the show beginning at Noon. You’re welcome to stop by our box office inside to get them, or pick them up when you arrive at showtime.

If you’re picking up tickets during show currently in progress, your tickets will be in our outer box office. Signs will be on our doors directing you.

  • Plan on no more than 2.5 hours for the entire evening, including intermission.

  • We accept cash and all major credit cards to purchase concessions and souvenirs.

  • Outside food and drink are prohibited at the theatre, with the exception of water bottles and baby formula/snacks. We do not sell or allow alcohol.

  • While we love when you bring your families, we unfortunately do not have space to store your strollers and carseats during the show. They are also not allowed in the aisle, as dictated by the fire department.

Please leave these items in your car prior to arriving.

  • Doors will open for seating 30 minutes prior to the scheduled performance. When you arrive, please join the line running adjacent to our theatre and wait for the doors to open.
